Valeria Martinez

Today's 8th Grade Student Spotlight features Valeria Martinez.

Valeria will be attending Dominican Academy next year on an academic scholarship. She is excited to have new experiences and meet new people.

Valeria loves ELA, baking, reading, swimming, and doing crafts with her mother. Valeria has participated in the Theater Program and Student Council. She has received a scholarship for her work in Computers and Coding and an award for her achievements in Math at GSS.

One lesson that she learned at GSS is “the importance of a strong school community and how that can benefit you in the future.” She has learned this about her faith: “God is involved in every aspect of our lives, not only inside the Church.”

She thanks her teachers for helping her through elementary and middle school and to Mrs. Kennedy for being by her side from the start.

Past high school, Valeria is interested in pursuing entrepreneurship and business.
