2016 Fun With Robotics

July 28, 2016Thanks to Mary Rafferty, FOGSS board member and head of the middle school at The Chapin School(K-12, all-girls school in Manhattan), brought guest instructors, Ana Agón and Jack Coole to teach a course at GSS . Chapin’s middle school robotics team, The Bots, was the Manhattan and New York City robotics champions this school year!
Also assisting were Meghan Ginley, our 7th grade teacher, and Mr. Aris Ovalle, our computer teacher.
11 our students learned about building and programming robots over the 4 day program. Culminating in a student presentation to family and friends and an exciting Sumo Bot competition.
