3K for All • Pre-K for All

Studies have shown that pre-school paves the way for academic, emotional and social success.  At Good Shepherd School, our Early Childhood Program provides the perfect balance of structure and self-direction for our youngest scholars.

Our spacious classrooms provide preschoolers with plenty of room to explore, create, play and move. Students in our  programs gain the readiness skills needed to succeed in Kindergarten and beyond. In these programs, direct instruction is balanced with opportunities for play and other types of social engagement   Those attending our 3K program receive priority placement in our FREE Pre-Kindergarten (PreK) program for the following school year!



Good Shepherd School is pleased to offer free 3K and PreK through the New York Department of Education. 3K and PreK is offered five full days a week from September to June. This free program is designed to provide students with opportunities to participate in learning activities and interact with other children and adults. Children are also offered enrichment opportunities such as KinderDance, Storytelling, and music!

EARLY DROP OFF AND AFTER-SCHOOL

We understand how busy our working families are. Our Early Drop-Off and After School Programs are designed to help parents and caregivers balance the demands on their time. Students can start their day at Good Shepherd School as early as 7:15 AM. They enjoy a free breakfast, and parents are more than welcome to eat with them.  After school, we provide supervised care and homework assistance until 6:30 PM.

HOW TO APPLY

Applications for 3K and PreK are done via MySchools.nyc. When you create a profile for your child, you will be able to list schools in order of preference. If you wish to add Good Shepherd School to your list, search for our school using the code: 06MADL
