Every day is a good day to thank God for the many gifts we receive.
As we begin November, we can start to think about how fortunate we have been throughout the year so we can share our blessings among our family members during the Thanksgiving meal. We also begin to think about how we can share our blessings with others.
Our Annual Thanksgiving food drive is a great opportunity to share our blessings. At GSS it has been a tradition for many years to make up a bag with nonperishable items and give them to others.
We ask every student in the school to donate an item to the drive. Each class will be assigned a particular food item that can be used at a Thanksgiving dinner.
All donations will be sent to the Good Shepherd Food Pantry. If you would like to donate additional items besides your child’s class items, it will be really appreciated. We ask that the food items that are donated are unopened and nonperishable. We hope to reach out to 400 families. Your usual generosity will help us meet this goal.
The list below shows what each grade is donating to the Food Drive.
