As a Catholic school, we believe in honoring the God-given gift of creativity that lives inside us all. We also believe the arts have a powerful impact on learning and are critical to the social, emotional, and intellectual development of young minds.
Good Shepherd School's Fine Arts program is designed to foster:
- Positive habits such as practice, persistence, and patience;
- Critical and creative thinking; and
These skills are essential for success in the classroom and our rapidly changing world.
At Good Shepherd School, art is integrated throughout the curriculum at all grade levels.
On a weekly basis, students visit the Music Room to learn and make music with their peers. Through song, they master memorization, learn to identify patterns, build confidence, and strengthen their social skills. Students perform for family and friends at our annual Christmas Concert and Spring Musical.
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth."
Our commitment to creativity continues after school when students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of artistic endeavors.
